Our Short Story | Tis The Season: Remembering It All to Look Ahead

Updated: Dec 8, 2023

HELLO FELLOW WRITERS, READERS, AND FRIENDS!

About a month ago, we took a major step to remove and delete the majority of our social media content, essentially starting over. We also temporarily took down our website to restructure and refocus our design and brand identity to better reflect who we are and what we do. Starting this month, we are reintroducing Capsonart Publishing, and today, we are resharing a brief history of our humble beginnings in the form of a story taken from our first newsletter, which we launched in 2019.

Every story, as we know them to be, has a beginning, middle, and end.

When we consider the challenges that key characters (protagonist and antagonist) have to encounter and experience, we realize that one should never despair, even in seemingly 'small' and, dare we say, HARD beginnings. Throughout the progression of a formidable plot, there comes a moment when it seems like 'the light at the end of the tunnel' is far out of reach. One thing we find most fascinating for the progressing chapters of our defining moments is watching how what seems so shapeless and 'without void' gradually transforms right before your eyes.

As we are on this journey of our three launch phases, we want to take this time to invite and welcome you to come along with us as we follow the path God has set before us.

When we launched our first E-Newsletter, we shared a short story of our beginnings. Today, we want to share that same story with you.

Story Timeline

2017

ONCE UPON A TIME, like the beginning of most things, a young aspiring writer had a dream. Her dream was nothing short of a passion and desire to tell fascinating tales of love, mystery, suspense, history, and all the wonderful fascinating themes anyone could think of. Considering the initials of her name, she formed the letters to create the name CAPSONART. This arose from her recognition of the importance of owning and naming her story.

2018

Unsure of what the future held, she gathered the courage to begin posting an assortment of texts, devotionals, images, and tips. There was much to learn about the social media world, and try as she might, the writer did her best to match the speed and traffic of posting, posting, and posting as much as she could. In the midst of this, she could feel eager eyes and ears awaiting the unfolding story and song. At the same time, there was a story, a narrative that rang in her heart. She was desperate to get it out.

2019

With possibilities at her fingertips, the writer did something she never thought she would—setting herself and her mother before a camera that had seen its days. Boldly, they announced the prelaunch of their forthcoming books. It almost seemed like a far-distant treasure that would probably never be unearthed. Days rolled into weeks and months, and the pressure was on to reach the finish line. At the same time, the world, as the writer knew it, was brimming with the greatest anticipation. 2019 marked a period adorned with signs of what was to come—a clear stamp of the reality that a new decade was about to unfold. Visions were shared across the stream of dreams, holding many in tight angst, while giving a much-needed reason to forge ahead. It was a defining moment of courage and strength, bracing the hope of the unknown. Resolutions gave way to reflection, determination, and, most importantly, gratitude for life.

2020

At the crossroads of all things, like a rose blooming in the morning light, and in some unprecedented times, Capsonart's story became a verse and song—a poetry of heaven's tune. With pain, grief, and immense angst, The Writer joined hands with her mother and sister to bring forth the two narratives that would become the key to unlocking a door the Writer couldn't imagine.

'Roses Among Thorns Flourishing In the Midst of Adversity' and 'I Want to Sing Your Song (40 Days of Verse and Song)' paved the way for what Capsonart would become. The mantra of 2020 vision was the underlying theme, and as hard as it was to see beyond the horizon of murky clouds, the purpose was louder.

2021 and 2022

Rolling in like a wintry promise, the times were changing which marked the defining moments for the the three writers. The vision, purpose, and mission became clearer as "I HAVE A STORY" resonated within their hearts, an undeniable call that could not be ignored.

With courage, and despite bouts of discouragement and disappointment, facing numerous "no's" and a multitude of questions, the writers took a bold step beyond the realm of "what ifs." With determination, Capsonart softly launched into the deep. What had initially been a mere dream in the heart of a young writer had now transcended into something more significant. It had evolved into a profound calling for those destined to share their best stories with the world.

NOW

With another season of carols and expectations, Capsonart, once just a dream, has transformed into a publishing house: a home where the hearts of writers can sing and tell their best stories.

LOOKING AHEAD

With God and a profound team of legacy writers, CAPSONART PUBLISHING forges ahead into a year of unknowns. The most inspiring part is that they embark on this journey with confidence, fully aware that this is what God has called them to do.
